These are not hatchery birds. My flock of Black Copper Marans consists of two lines. One line was brought in from France in early 2000's by a pilot in a lunch box as baby chicks. Second is from Greenfire Farms. I would consider my birds to be show quality. Please see pictures and decide for yourself if you would consider them to be show quality as well. Marans are great layers that will lay 150-200 dark eggs per year.
